Cohen Cohen and Associates opened its doors in 2012. The business came to be when Paul (father) and Matthew (son) decided to start a new tax and accounting practice together. Paul was semi-retired, and Matt was working in software implementation, when they opted to begin something fresh and new together as partners.

We moved to new space to accommodate room for growth.

First Complete ERP Evaluation and Implementation Project
October saw the Go Live of a client’s new ERP platform. We assisted in evaluating requirements, options in the market, grading demos, and acting as an implementation liaison with the ERP team.

We stepped into more hands-on management & operational accounting roles for growing small business clients.

First Custom Application Launch
We complete the discovery, design, development, and launch of a tailored commission calculation application for internal use at client with heavy retail activity and a unique internal commission structure.

Supported Client’s SPAC Reverse Merger Effort
Successfully supported our client through marshalling data and resources to complete an expedited financial audit of current and trailing periods using another public accounting firm.

Expanded to Current Location
We moved to our current office on Birch Street to allow for further expansion of the team.

We stepped in to assist a client in migration several syndicated real estate holdings to a new management system under significant time pressure.
